After a while, Denis will need some sort of REAL income to keep the site running, there are already too many expenses........

What are you thinking to do in the future to cover the lack of money Denis?

FAC is doing ok for money at the moment.

In the future I plan to offer paid accounts with additional features (As well as the free ones) to bring in more money as well as more store type stuff and maybe a prints type thing.

1 million veiws a day is a real achievement for fac but i think we can do better.

additional feature. i think thats a great idea for the future.

also i noticed that on the home page, the catories no longer have the number of pictures in that catories next to the name in brackets with, i guess, has neaten up the site abit.

still 1 million is great ^_^

Wow, FAC's really grown, eh?
about needing more space and ways to pay for it...
I've seen some sites with stormtraffic and such, where you get people to go to a page and you earn credit/pts or somesuch for it... could that work? You don't need to do anything at the site, just click on it and open the page, then close it again.
Then again, i'm not quite sure how that works and if it'll really help, as that was for scanlation sites, but it's all for bandwidth and somesuch, right?

And I do have to agree about some of the earlier statements... it seems to be much too easy to get newbies, and quite difficult to find some really good artists. :/

and I'm really hoping non-paying members won't lose too much if you decide to get paid accounts. :/ Then FAC would lose I lot of interest, I think.

And why do we have so many guests on all the time instead of members?? :huh:

More people = more costs but also more advertising revenue so it somewhat works out ok.

There are various projects underway tho to improve money for future expansion like the fac store.

I dont plan to take away current stuff with paid accounts. Members who don't pay will just not get some of the new stuff comming.

There is also a plan underway to attract some better artists.

And Bleedman appeared on the mainsite just recently(at least I think he just did). Oooooh! Big-time artist. His name is all over the Internet. And now that he's with us, I think it'll add popularity to the site. But the down side is, Bleedman is a deviantartist since 2004.

I'm curious, though. Is Bleedman newly registered or an old member? It's because he rarely goes online and has a lot of work on his hands. Just wondering...

He is a good artist, people love his comics..........
I also think he may add popularity to the site, but we would need to ask him to post "www.fanart-central.net" a couple of times on his descriptions and journals over at DA for advertising, people actually read them a lot, and I guess that a big part of his DA fans are into drawing/viewing fanart.

The last time I saw Bleedman was durng 2002 when he had an artist's seminar with my dad here in Cebu, Philippines. He was a graduating student of Fine Arts in University of San Carlos then. His house is just a 30min. taxi ride away from mine and my dad still has his number(residence and/or cellphone, I'm not sure). But I dunno if I could contact him or anything by cellphone or residential/office # or by e-mail 'cause like I said, he rarely browses the net and has a lot of work to do.

I saw his section in deviantart a few days ago, and I barely found any posts originating from him. If he's gonna be posting in our forums then it'll only be when he's working. Sad, really. Sad
