Image Rules

Because FAC is a PG-13 forum, we cannot allow any images to be posted which would exceed a PG-13 limit. This means no pictures, drawings, or images of any kind that depict nude anatomy, sexual content (erotica), or so on, will be allowed.

This must be enforced as a [b]ZERO TOLERANCE RULE[/b]. We will not risk that someone on the visiting end of the forums (say, the parents of an underage member) may see the image, consider it offensive, and file charges or otherwise deeem FAC responsible for it. FAC itself is not responsible for the contents of forum posts made by users, that responsibility belongs to the user themselves.

Violations, i.e. images containing adult-level content [b]will[/b] be moderated and removed without notice, and may also warrant further punishment up to or including suspensions or bans on the user's account. (Exact suspension lengths for individual/repeat violations are being discussed)

Maybe there should be a Protected Forum like the Advanced RP called "Unmoderated" or something, where people of a certain age are given a password and then they can enter. And do their thing there inside of where kids can see it. Uneasy

I thought posting porn was against the Invision Power Boards rules aswell as FAC Rules though :huh:

There used to be an "unmoderated" section but it was closed down.

Besides that would just turn into a dumping ground for porn, and we don't want that associated with FAC.

"Porn" isn't the issue itself, but just a textbook example of it. A more relevant issue is when people try to "test" the rules.

Keep in mind, image rules also apply even if the image host rejects direct linking. E.g., if you try to link a picture but the source host doesn't allow it and sends a "shock image" in its place (such as a nude/porn pic - a few sites will actually do that), that will be punished just the same as if you had posted the "shock image" itself.

Why was the unmoderated section closed in the first place? I know we used to have one, but I wasn't around for it.

I like the idea of no bad pictures. It makes the place less scary? I don't know I just don't want to be afraid of opening a thread worring whats inside.

Theforums realy didn't have many innapropriate pics for a while, but then they showed up somehow.

I know you are not allowed to use the Invision Free board for pornagraphic/adult purposes, maybe that extends to licenced versions as well.

I'd like for you, strata, to show the best example of the worst appropriate offensive image that is postable. That may defeat any excuse a member would have when "testing" this rule, because they'd know just how much is too much.
