Most of the people who go on shooting after playing Video games would have done something retarded whether they played Video games or not. There's plenty of ways of learning what you can do with a gun or another weapon, books, stories, rumors... I bet more people turn down the gun because they have more senses to just play videogames than people inspired to shoot because of videogames. What's the murder rate nowadays? like, the lowest since the beginning of time?

They said that Waltz was going to adulterate young women and men

They said that the phones would ruin personal relationship

They said Television would be used to watch and oppress people

fucking, stop, now.

It isn't the games or what they watch on TV. It's thier environments. Idea I've got San Andreas, and do I go out killing people and breaking laws for a living? NO! I'm afraid to break any rule whatsoever, and when I get in trouble, I can't lie. Video Games are meant to be fun, and if some people like to play with guns go right ahead. Yay for them. Just don't take away video games just beacause a serial killer loved GTF or Redsteel. That is EVIL!! Mad Not to mention censorship. T.V. is the same story. Kids watch the Terminator, but do you see kids going around with an accented voice saying DIE. NO!!! I'm telling you it's the environment. Specifically the parents, and family. Crying or Very sad

If video game affected people our parents would be living in dungeons eating pills while running away from ghosts.(Pac Man)

I LOVE video games. WoW, Nascar, Madden, DBZ Budokai, WWE Smackdown, Sim City 4, Tycoon games, all of them. Does this mean I am going to put on armor and grab an axe, drive really fast, tackle someone, yell really loud, flex, build a city, then a zoo? No.

He played a lot of video games, normally violent ones where killing is either idolised, not looked down on, or simply comical.
He also watched a lot of violent television programmes with his parents, enjoying the explosions, and often laughing - with his parents - when someone died.

Yikes... Shocked

parents should decide what their child plays and watches on tv.

video games and television can be influences but if some retard goes out on a killing spree then he has more issues than a videogame can give him.

if rating systems work for movies and television, it works for games. if all basic television has to do before airing dead bodies is show an advisory before the show plays, then having your parents spend 50 dollars on mortal kombat before getting to play it is good enough. being as anyone can flip through the stations after the advisory was shown just as any kid can play a gorific game at a neighbors house.

who is responsible is the killer. of course being bullied and having bad parents and even the ability to kill freely in games are influences, you punish the kid, and in many cases, the parents aswell.

the guy who said a rap song is what made him go out and murder is as much of an idiot as the guys who say the devil "made them do it". they're all psycho's who are easily misguided and so should be put away due to the possibility the teletubies are brainwashing them to do their evil deeds on humanity.

as for censorship, it wont happen. the demand for violence it too large and makes alot of money. how long and how many times have they tried to censor GTA? GTA is one of the best selling titles ever made. it makes alot of people alot of money. Its hard to say if one title will give in if no other media is forced to censor.

edit:
<QuoteBegin><table><tr><td>QUOTE (tyler)</td></tr><tr><td><QuoteEBegin>What it all comes down to, is, parents, if you don't want your children seeing a sex scene in GTA:SA than mabye, just mabye, you should *GASP* google the game, and see what kind of game it is. 10 minutes of your time, and we won't have morons screaming to politicians that their son is now moraly corrupt because of pixalated nudity
thats what the USRB content rating is for. that only takes 2 seconds to look at and see if its appropriate for your child. [/quote] I agree.

Exactly, most games if not all, are labelled by USRB, or something. anyway I play Halo 3, Gears, quake 4, and i dont have the urge to go shoot ppl. so my answer is no, video games do NOT cause violence.

I hate when people blame videogames. and apparently everyone agrees, unless your unstable in very serious ways, they arent gunna do anything.

Although on the other hand there is a level of desensatizing that goes on with certain games with a very high violance level...but even then theres 1,000,000 more factors to people snapping and shotting people up.

I play GOW,and guitar hero alot...let me tell you im guna put a chainsaw on my SG and go crazy on my TV Rolling Eyes Laughing

it's the parent's fault. i think to an extent the game can effect a kid, if he's young, just a little but it's whoever gave it to him and let him play it who is responsible. i just hate when parents blame tv, the internet, music ect on a child's bad behavior but it's their fault for letting them use it Smile.
