Yes, well, it was a wonderful book written by a boy by the name of John Kennedy Toole. Long story short, it's about Ignatius J. Reilly, who is 30 years old and lives at home with his mother in New Orleans. When he's not working on a writing project, he's complaining about virtually everything and insulting everyone, to the point that he alienates all those around him. Eventually, when left with no other options, he has to find a job. David Gordon Green has decided to make it a movie starring Will Ferrell of all people! I mean, I like Will Ferrell, but I doubt he'd make the movie into the kind of comedy it is. He'd most likely make it into a 'stupid' comedy. Which, don't get me wrong, I love stupid comedies, but...Confederacy of Dunces just isn't like that. -.- It depresses me so.
Anyone else feel the same? |
