FFX-2 was all over the spectrum. It had some good moments, some bad moments, and some downright kooky moments, like Square couldn't decide what sort of game it was supposed to be.

PS: Dontcha wish we had spoiler tags for info like yours? Don't worry, you can fake them easily (click for details).

For example, SPOILER!

QUOTE (SPOILER!!)
Yes, Tidus does appear at the ending if you press the X button while walking out of the Farplane ^_^  BUT... exactly how he appears depends upon what you did down in the Farplane at the end of Chapter 3!  When Yuna kneels over and complains "I'm all alone...", if you hit the X button there, Yuna hear's a familiar whistle and sees something walking around.  Keep hitting the X button and she'll hear more whistling, as well as see a familiar ghost leading her around, eventually out of the Farplane.

If you don't do this, then if you hit the X button at the ending scene, Tidus appears like a ghost around Yuna, embracing her, and she talks to herself about how he must have been with her "all along", and that's that.  I saw this myself after beating the game.

i own at sphere break. the key to winning is echos. get 3 coins in per turn. that way you'll rack up a bonus of times 5 or more.

Yes, echoes are key to winning big.

Coin Count echo: You get bonus quota points for each turn that you use the same number of coins as the previous turn. Practice making breaks with 3 or 4 coins at a time to get a hang of it.

To do a Coin Count echo, you need to enter a coin with the "C.Count Echo" trait. Hint: During the Sphere Break tournament in Chapter 3, one of the coins you're given has this trait inherent to it.

Multiplier echo: Just double or triple the core number, and then find any number and combination of coins adding up to that value. All you need to do the Multiplier Echo is enter a coin with the "Multiplier Echo" trait on it.

Easy strategy for multiplier echoes:

Pick one of the numbers from your entry coins. (Preferably 3 or 4) This will your multiplier. For every turn, just multiply your core number by that number, then pick a combination of coins that add up to it. (easy trick: look for pairs of coins that add up to the core value, and coins that equal the core value)

For example, if the core number is "2" and you chose 3 as your multiplier, 2 x 3 = 6, so find coins that add up to six. Like 3+3, 2+4, 1+5, 2+2+2, 1+2+3, all of which add up to six.

Then, say the core value changes to 8. 8 x 3 = 24, so find coins that add up to 24.

Next, what if the core value drops to 1? When the core value is 1, the first coin you pick will automatically form a break, which usually disrupts whatever echo effect you're working for. But that's why you pick one of your entry coins as the multiplier. Just pick whatever coin matches your multipler, and you can continue without losing the multiplier bonus.

Next, a general tip:

Whatever the core number is, always try to find:
1- One entry coin and one border coin that add up to the core number
2- Any and all coins that equal the core number

For example, say the core number is "5". One of my entry coins is a "2" and I see a border coin of "3". 2+3=5. There are also three other coins on the grid with "5" on them.

I could pick "2" and then "3" to add up to 5 and that would be a break, but I can score more points if I start with the "2" coin, then select all three "5" coins (2+5+5+5=17), then capping it off with the "3" coin on the border (17+3 = 20 = 4x5)

Another variation of this strategy works well with the coin count effect, all you need to do is find:
- One entry coin and one border coin that add up to the core number (or a multiple)
- Any border coin that equals the core number (or a multiple of)

For example, say the core number is "3". I have an entry coin of "4" and I see a border coin of "5" (4+5=9, a multiple of 3). There is also a "9" coin (a multiple of 3) on the board. Select the coins in this order: 4-9-5 (or 5-9-4) to create a break with three coins.

Another tip, keep in mind how the border coins increment by one every turn. Coins labelled "9" will disappear from the board regardless of whether you use them in that turn or not, so why not use them and get quota points for it before they disappear?

Lastly, coin effects. You will regularly see border coins with traits such as "+ coin(s)". USE THEM. Matching one of these border coins to an entry coin will increase how many of that coin type you have, and thus keep you from running out of coins.

Border coins with the "Item" trait will reward you with a free item when matched to an entry coin. If you're challenging Shinra's core sphere, you may win a "Treasure Hunt" garment grid instead of an item. The Treasure Hunt grid has Mug as an equip bonus, which is great because it's an attack+steal command that gives you one AP every time you ues it in battle.

Border coins with the "Coin" trait will reward you with one free (random) Sphere Break coin when you match it to an entry coin.

Border coins with "+ gil" and "- gil" traits will adjust the monetary value of whatever entry coin you match it to. Unless you plan on selling your coins for money, you don't have to worry about this at all.
