Deleted Comments

Hi,
A couple of my pictures got spammed, and I reported them to Abuse. But, I was reading the FAQs, and there's two different statements on the matter.

Yes, you may remove comments left on your pictures, stories, or profile page. However, you may NOT remove comments that you have left on other people's pages.

If a comment is truly uncalled for, you may also report the user to abuse@fanart-central.net . Even though the comment was removed from your page, it will still be available for FAC site staff to review. [/quote]

Now, I DELETED the comments. So, can the staff still see them or not?

Deleted comments being hidden insted of delted is a fairly new feature, the documentation should be updated.

OK. I noticed the FAQ that said deleted comments are deleted for GOOD is now labeled "Old FAQ", and locked.
I reported this person/deleted the comments only recently, like this month.
So, the Abuse staff should be able to see the comments I deleted?

Currently it is possable but hard for staff to see deleted comments (only I can). In the future this will be improved for abuse staff.

Oh. I see.
Then, should I report them again sometime later, when the abuse staff can see it too? Will that ever be announced when it's ready or not? Since it doesn't quite affect user's browsing and their features, I wasn't sure if you'd announce it or not. Embarassed

If its minor its usually just best to ignore it. No need to report it unless its so serious and persistant that its a serious problem for you.

Its usually best to just ignore spamers and flamers.
