Hi I was just wondering: if you found a picture you really like (particularly on this site), are you allowed to draw the same pic yourself and post it?

No, that's artist abuse. I think that it can get you banned. I'm not a staff member, but I think that's what happens if you do that.

Ask the original artist first. If they give you permission, and you give them credit, I don't see why not (though it's better to come up with your own original ideas).

In general, if you do the creation of the second piece yourself, it [b]is[/b] allowed -- provided that the original artist has no objections to you taking one of their characters out for a spin.

Therefore, you should ask the original artist first, and if they say no, then live with it.

Actually, it wasn't one of their characters. It's a Rock Lee pic that I really wanted to draw and compare on how well i did, plus i added some more to it. I was just re-drawing it.
