[size=24][color=red]YO FAC!!! CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE A WAY WAY FOR US USERS TO BE ABLE TO PUT MUSIC, MOVIES, N PICS ON OUR PROFILES?[/color][/size]

If i had to decide i would say: Certainly not!

For several reasons:
1) Music on websites is generally annoying
2) It would hard to add a way of turning it off - outcome of this is 1)
3) Music is high bandwith content, and since there are still many low bandwith users arround you cant make them load half a day for just the profile
4) Where would it be saved? Music and especially movies are BIG compared to a picture. An average jpeg image (1024x768x32) is just 78kb big - a 128kbps MP3 takes more than 1MB per minute.... just ask yourself who would pay the costs for this. I dont want to mention the size of Videos since thei differ to much, but its more, far more.

So there is much that stands against it...

Oh and just one personall con for this discussion: People could be tempted to put HipHop stuff on their profile - this should be a banning reason then... Razz

FAC used to allow arbratary html in profiles however this practice had to be stopped because of people putting music and stuff in their profiles and people breaking their profiles with bad html. Some broke them so bad their lost the ability to edit them.

This isn't LJ. If you want a place for stuff like that get yourself a blog.
