Picture Rejected!!! Why??

I had just submitted a picture that was very similar to Kyle the Fox in my gallery. two days later I got an email saying [quote]Your picture Kyle the Fox (edited) (458505) has been rejected by SH-15649.e5d85.
Reason:

yeah, about that... no photos included in your submissions.

Then I did research on the rules that clearly state in the FAQ section on the forums [quote]General Photography. That is, photography of ANYTHING OTHER THAN paintings, drawings, or craft items created by you. This applies both to stock imagery as well as original (your) photography, because as outlined above, FAC is not intended as a website for displaying photography; FAC is not Photobucket. [u]You may, however, use stock photography as a background layer underneath a drawing or painting that you created, but photography as a medium itself is not allowed. [/u][/quote]

I think part of it depends on how obtrusive the photo is in the background. Pretty much, "What do you want people to be looking at? Your drawing or the photo underneath it?" You have to be careful since pasting a drawing on top of a photo can be considered a photomanip, as well. And I think that the exception about using photos as a background [i]layer[/i] is that it helped you create the art in the picture (as a guide, perhaps), not just filler for blank space.

Other than that, you have to remember that the SH are human and they make mistakes sometimes. :0

I have posted a similar picture here Fox and I was goin to upload a revised one with fixes suggested by the Critiquing panal on the forum. without deleting the original. should I [b]re-submit [/b]my picture and hope another person would approve it.
other than that yes SH are human and they can make mistakes but I would expect SH would know and follow their own rules or they should not participate in running this site if they do not respect their rules.
I do relize why they can't take photography and I completly respect that. but when I clearly edit a drawing on that photo that my parents took when they went to Maui and the drawing is clearly the focusing point in that picture I do not see why It would be rejected.

Oh well I had just Edited over my original picture. but I need the thumb nail to refresh. and I commeted the change on the bottom of my pict so I can remember who had seen my original. here is the link to my picture Kyle The Fox

Oh, well, this is quite nice. I really like the highlights [hehe, guess I asked for them...] and the way they seem to really be lightings on the fur.
The arms are still a bit puffy for the upper arm parts, but otherwise, really nice.
Lovely.

Oh, and next time, post the edit in the crit panel, so we can crit it.
