Problem with BB code on stories

Hi there, if this topic has been posted then please tell me where it is and delete this

But anyway, I'm having some problems with uploading my stories by typing them in BB code. You see the more I type in there, the slower the server becomes, and it's not my computer because everything else I go on is top speed and working.

As I said when I'm typing it starts fine, but as I write more it get's slower and slower. I have to wait for words to come up before I can write more. Then I write so much that it takes at least, 2 minutes for a line to come up. It's driving me crazy!

Today I was uploading a story using this method and I'm seriously not joking. It took 4 HOURS to type all the words down and upload it all. Please can someone tell me what is going on?

Are you seriously typing in a whole story into BBCode? You can use the format to upload, but I do hope you have the story saved somewhere else. Just copy and paste the entire thing, then format what little you need to. Hopefully, that won't be much, as BBCode might slow down as you say. Don't cram your story full of italics and symbols; keep it simple and sweet.
See if you can't just upload it.

Try disabling the auto-spellchecker. This is a known source of some lag.

Or, as mentioned before, type your story up on Notepad or Wordpad, then upload (or copy & paste) the results.

yes I have tried uploading it from a html document but when I upload it, there are many unneccassary apostropies and some letters are missing and it's just not very professinal (If you get my meaning)

I have tried copying and pasting, and yes I do have my stories saved on my computer, but I have to set all the colours and that takes a while. I use bold and colours but no italics or underline or whatever
