Some Sugguestions

I have some sugguestion, and I want to know if they're any good.
I am in middle school, so they probaly aren't too great, so don't jude too harshly because they're not [b]supposed[/b] to be brillant.

I think on the "fans" list it should be numbered when you click the "See all favorites" link.
If you're in a lazy mood, or have A LOT of fans because you're a good artist, you wouldn't want to count all of those names down to the last one.

I think that when you fav an artist you should be notifyed when he or she submits a new picture, and when you fav a author you should be notifyed when they submit a new story or chapter.

Maybe FAC should have a optional "friends" list, with the avatars.

FAC should tell on peoples' profiles how many minutes, hours, secounds, or whatever since they were gone, because sometime it says they updates the profile, AND where there on last today.

Notifications of new pics by faved artists do already work. You can enable/disable them by using your mainsite user profile options.

Could that possibly somehow be integrated with the 'selective alerts emails' feature?? I'd love that, and if you think about it logically, anyone on your friends list is probably someone you want to get alerts from. :/

Denis, would it really take so much effort to get a count for number of ppl have you faved?? It'd be a nice touch, is all...

Ok.
I meant PM for letting you know if one of your fav artists added another pic.
It's much more convenient if your checking things at school, where you don't have e-mail, or whatever.

PM-based notifications are already planned. Implementation would be a simple matter, it just needs to be done in several places (for example, faving notifications have yet to be set up).

Just wondering, would you also have the ability to keep alerts as emails? I rather prefer it this way, not sure why, but just don't like PMing so much, I suppose... :/

Just, could it be an option to keep alerts comin' to emails?

PM notifications -- encourage members to participate in the site more often

E-mail notifications -- really useful only when you are away and can't visit the site often

I know I would set all my notifications to PM. Wink

But anyway, you're basically asking that instead of notification options being a simple on/off, they would be three-way options (Off, E-mail, PM).

Each PM would probebly remain as on off with a global setting for all that are on send via either PM or email.

Yeah, that's what I mean. I dunno, but I'm just kinda used to having it for email, and it's the first thing I check every day. I don't mind having to go from email to site, because it's just another pop-up window.
PM system... how would we get alerts? Just go on the site and check the inbox? There's nothing really wrong with it, I suppose, but I just prefer things the old-fashioned, familiar way. :3

But, yeah, as long as there's an on/off toggle, no problems here.

Ever notice the little "PM" link in the corner when you log in to FAC?

Basically, if you have new alerts it would say "# New Messages" (preferably in a high-vis color like orange) to let you know of them.

Ah, yeah, that thing. Well, so far, that PM system looks a bit... like it's in the early stages. Or maybe I just don't have the right font or something.

The forums PMing system is actually quite nice, but I'm not used to it as I am email or regular posts.
And having an inbox, a sent-box, an outbox... rawr. It makes me go >>;

But I see how the alerts work. I just find it simpler to have them combined with my email.
It gives me a reason for having an email. XD
