What Happened To Sam (the FAC mascot)?

What happened to Sam, the previous Fanart Central mascot? It says she's still the mascot at the bottom of the page, but she's not on the Fanart Central logo anymore, only Pheral. Is the Administrator planning on just getting rid of Sam?
