For all my years of drawing, i really need help with drawing backgrounds, can somebody give me some pointers?

This should actually be in "Art Help".

Backgrounds are usually the hardest to do. Find reference pictures online and try to draw them. Do it by pencil at first, shading parts. Do many types of backgrounds so you can get the feel. Houses, forests, beaches, buildings. When you're out, take a camera with you and take the pictures as references for yourself.

Backgrounds just take a lot of time. If you spend enough time on it, you can draw it. Just force yourself to make the details that the background requires. Time and patience.

Or, if you don't have a camera, you can just buy a landscaping magazine or other magazines wiht a lot of scenery and use those for references. That way you won't be restricted to the scenery where you live.

well i dont do backrounds much but i kno if you want them to focus on ionno say a person you drew then make the backround alittle less detailed so it doesnt look bad but they're only talking about he backround theyre talking abot both.............did tht make sence?
