I've read all of Harry Potter, The Immortals, and The Lioness Quartet. My favorite though was the Lioness. That girl is so cool.

ha that's awesome i used be so into tamora pierce! i've read the Lioness Quartet, The Immortals, and Circle of Magic. That was a loooong time ago, but i still love em'!
now i'm really into the shannara series by Terry Brooks (great stuff, but more advanced & complex than Tamora Pierce's writing).

another great fantasy writer, if you're into Merlin and Arthurian Legend is T.A. Baron, who wrote the Young Merlin Series, which is about Merlin when he was a teenager. It's incredibly imaginative and well-written (one of my favorite series!)

and another great fantasy writer is Philip Pullman, author of the His Dark Materials trilogy- one of the most amazing stories i have ever read. It's written so well it's like poetry, and the story is so intricate and creative, involving everything from inter-dimensional travel and witches, to daring fights and beautiful love stories. has anyone here read it?

ok i'll stop rambling sorry heh heh i just don't know too many people who read any fantasy besides lotr or harry potter (which is also great), but i like talking about it.

Ahh! Thank you, I was afraid I would've had nothing to read after I finished the whole series up ( But, I have this book called "So You Want to Be a Wizard..." and I've yet to finish it.... )

I've heard of that one-- T.A baron is the author? Thanks!

Phillip Pullman? His Dark Materials is an AWESOME series to read. xD I practically killed to get my hands on the last part of the series, The Amber Spyglass.

I agree, lad. ^_^

Anymore series? Very Happy Eh? So I could torture my booklist?

no its great that you've read all of those! but no sorry, i havent heard ot MYTH
lol yea i was so excited for the Amber Spyglass, also! but when you get a chance, try The Lost Years of Merlin- soooo good.
but uhh yea more fantasy series:

Circle of Magic (not by tamora pierce, but by Debra Doyle and James Macdonald), i found about 5 of these at a 2nd-hand bookstore (i liked the title). it's the story of a boy who goes to wizarding skool (ha, sound familiar, hp fans?), set during the middle ages. he battles evil wizards and stuff.....yea sorry i read them when i was in like 4th ot 5th grade, so i dont remember much.... but i DO remember that they were very good! if you're gonna read them, or have read them, my favorites were #1 School of Wizardry and #3 City by the Sea.

Also, Of Two Minds and its sequel More Minds, by Carol Matas and Perry Nodelman. i read this one a long time ago, too. the story is great- very original and suspenseful. the main girl has the power to make whatever she imagines become real, and the main guy can read minds and i think has other telepathy-related powers, and they have to save both their kingdoms from desctruction.

ok just ONE more, if you will please keep reading- Ella Enchanted and The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine (not a sequel, but a good book). Ella Enchanted is one of my alltime favorite books- i first read it in 6th grade, and have read it innumerable times since. i hate the story of cinderella, but this book takes that concept and makes it an adventurous, romantic, and very funny tale. but ewww they're making a movie out of it and i'm sure they'll ruin it and it'll become mainstream and then be turned into a franchise (my worst fear). ok yea that was off topic sorry. ok and The Two Princesses of Bamarre is also great, focusing on 2 sisters who are princesses, and one gets sick so the other must go out on a quest to find the cure. there's also a very cool sorceror/love-interest (my favorite character.

ok yea i think i'm done. whew those books take me back! i was looking around my bookshelf reminiscing.... ok stop talking!!
