Calling all Nintendo experts.....I NEED ANSWERS!!!

I want a Wii, but don't know how to get the info I need. I've gone to Nintendo.com, but it doesn't give me all the answers... Does anybody know anything about the Wii? Cause I've got about three main questions...Or maybe I should figure out how to email Nintendo...Hmm... Confused

I've gotta hurry up and saving some babysitting money before they all go outta stock! Shocked

Well, provided you didn't actually specify what questions you had, the only answers I can give are:

- Go read [url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii[/url]
- The console costs $250 (US dollars), which also includes Wii Sports as a pack-in title.
- Supply shortages are always a risk, but Nintendo has [i]almost never[/i] sold out of a console before. Sony's having production troubles and has scaled back their launch numbers to about 400,000 total, while Nintendo has mostly kept silent but has announced to for-sure have [i]at least[/i] that much for launch.

The Fred Meyer where I live has received (almost literally) only a few PS3's for its launch Friday, but has received dozens of Wii's and is even going to have a midnight launch sale on Sunday.

My Wal-Mart was supposed to get 10 PS3s, but now I hear that we're only getting 4.

No, not just for action games. For everyone.

Yeah, our local store only got four PS3's (a surprise considering that we're on the small end of the distribution scheme) but is planning a whole midnight launch for the Wii.

...And for once I wanna be there.

Alright you've answered my first question, Strata...

Do you have any knowledge about it's compatibilaty with the GameCube? I already have learned that you can play Gamecube games with Gamecube controls and memory cards on the Wii (cause let's face it, there's some classics I just can't give up...). But I'm wondering if you can play old games with the Wii controllers. That might seem like a dumb question, but from what I've seen, Wii controllers are totally different (irregardless of the button labels).

I wanna try to sell as much of my Gamecube package as possible, so if I can sell off my old controllers (maybe even the broken ones), it will definetly help.

And something else: are stores going to even sell Wii's for the launch price of $250? I read that Gamestop is releasing it at $700 plus tax and handling or whatever. Does anybody know when and where I can get one a little closer to the original launch price?

Wii has [b]full[/b] backwards compatibility with GameCube titles -- not just the discs, but the actual GameCube controllers and memory cards too.

I don't think the nunchuk controler will work. However I think that the Wii will come w/ a regular controler for playing your Cube games.

I know for a fact that Wal-mart will be launching the Wii at 12:01am on 11-19-06 for about $250.

you'll get there....like I remember When I went to Neopets EVERYONE knew who I was......Was pretty cool....that is where I pulled the Idea of A.O.W.
Unfortunatly I don't have enough respect to get it going.....*Sigh*

I'm positive it was about the Wii.

Oh...wait...now I see. It was for a Wii Bundle, games and accessories included. God, I'm slow! Lol.
