I suggest a option that would let you view all of the art in the subcategories below it.

For example, if I wanted to look at FMA artwork, but dind't care if it was of couples or a specific character or what, just use the "view all" and could then browse through all of the FMA fanworks, regardless of subcategory within it.

Just a thought...

Like viewing every single picture in all the subcategories all at once?

Would'nt that take a lot of processing power?

Not a bad idea though.

Other sites (such as dA) do this already. I don't know how they do it, but I can wager several guesses.

For example, instead of each picture storing the ID of the category it is submitted to, it stores the full path of that category, and by searching the fullpath for a given category ID, the site could be able to simultaneously fetch pics from both the category itself and its available subcats.

This could however get pretty tricky where category management & reorganization is concerned (i.e. moving a category would require updating pics in all subcats). But considering the current status of our category tools (namely, cannot "move" a category if it has subcats available, the subcats must be moved first) this could be easy to implement.

In theory.

Too much processing power. The huge categories are enough problems there as it is.

I thought it would be something like that. Well, no harm in suggesting, anyways. :3

Thanks for speedy replies! <3
