Ok then if you bothered to look at my request, like the title says I like drawing manga ,but it is one of the biggest thorns in my side.Whenever I draw something it seems just not to come out right even if I am supposed to doubt my work as an artist. This is different.Right now I am conectrating on getting heads and faces right. My biggest problem with heads is the hair. and the eyes. Can anyone give me some idea as to how to do the hair properly. |

This is in the wrong section. You should probably have put this under 'Art Help'.
Anyways, if you want help with drawing manga, start with wireframes.
Facial lines in particular for what you're doing. Don't have facial lines? Then your faces end up crooked, eyes tilted/misaligned, etc, etc.
Use them.
Here's an example:
http://www.fanart-central.net/pic-473871.html
This is the most basic of what you should have. A line for the eyes, one for the center of the face. For the complete head, draw a circle for the overall skull. Add a chin/cheeks, and usually, it's best to have the head tilted at some angle or whatnot. Also, depending on the angle, you'll have to tilt the facial lines as well to get them all to match.
The body works the same way; guidelines, circles for joints, ovals for muscles...
Even in anime, you need to define muscle and line up the faces.
I suggest you look online for some tutorials, or buy one of those 'how to draw manga' books if that's what you're going for.
Good luck~ _________________ |

Look before you post. :\ There's this "View posts since last visit" link on the forum index, which insures that you're only looking at active topics.
There's only one active poster here that I truly dislike, and you aren't that special. If it were anyone else posting in a ridiculously old thread, I would have said the same thing. _________________ Go Yankees! |
