I have The Black Parade. I might get Paramour Sessions if I'm not broke after Christmas. I only have Getting Away With Murder right now.

It's Paramour. The Paramour Sessions.

Rage Against the Machine - a fav. because of the intense vocals and band as a whole.
Incubus - possibly one of the most flexible and original bands I listen to.
Tool - among the most philosophical and humorous, if you listen hard enough. Technically BRILLIANT. Danny Carey is an amazing drummer and Chancellor is a superb bassist. Maynard has a great voice and well thought out lyrics.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - just an overall fun band. Flea and Frusciante make them everything, and Kiedis can never be forgotten for his lyrics.

Soundgarden - I admire Cornell's vocals and Thayil's guitars. In fact, they were all great.

Audioslave - RATM + Soundgarden. I have no complaints.
Number One Contender - local band on the way to the top. Love everything they do, and the drummer is crazy.

A Perfect Circle - Maynard with an alternative band. It sounds amazing. Orestes, 3 Libras, and Judith are must-hears.

Steve Vai - my cousin used to jam with him at Berklee. If you haven't heard him play, you're missing out. He can actually make his guitar talk.

John Petrucci's solo material - amazing. That's all I have to say.
Liquid Tension Experiment - A mixture of Dream Theater and Tony Levin of King Crimson. Technically amazing brilliance. Yes.

Nonpoint - powerful lyrics in front of an explosive backing band. I admire the work they do. The drummer is great, the guitars and bass cut right through, and Elias's vocals are excellent. Good messages and grooves.

I think I've done my favorite Rock/metal bands to death, so hear my shame. My favorite Alternitive bands.

Papa Roach(first album only)- What can I say. The album may have sucked talent wise, but damn it was fun. Dead Cell, Infest, Between Angels and Insects. Fuckin' A man.

Bullet For my Valentine- I fucking hate their name. I really fucking hate it. A lot of their lyrics are pure shit (All These things I HAte (Revolve Around Me), Room 409), But for a band with such a redicolously emo name, they have some skill (Tears don't Fall) and some fucking fun songs (Spit You Out, The Poison, Her Voice Resides, 4 Words to Choke Upon). I would never had listened to this band EVER had they not opened for Iron Maiden when I saw them. I liked them, bought a CD, and what can I say, I fuckin' love it.
