To define what junk art is, it's when you take unwanted odds and ends and make art out of it. Done carefully, and with lots of imagination, it comes out very well.
It also means to take old artworks, and make colleges out of them.
My art teacher at my high school came up with this concept.
I have made a Native American figurine out of one-half of a plastic Easter egg shell, bits of erasers, pipe cleaners, a feather, plastic googly eyes, eyeglasses-cleaning cloth, keyring, and a rubber ball (like the kind you get in those 50-cent machines for kids). I have also made an airplane out of many various parts, including a watch, keyboard buttons, and more.
An example can be found here. This is really old, though. I used paper, and many fast-food containers.
I was wondering if anyone else likes this style, or has once done it before. |
