How to Report A Thief

This is a clarification on the Abuse Assistance section rules.

If you see an FAC user trying to submit artwork which is not their own (aka "stealing art"), [b]and[/b] you know precisely who the original artist they are stealing from is, then [color=red][b]do not post here[/b][/color].

Seriously.

Remember, the purpose of this forum section is for investigating suspected, [b]unproven[/b] art theft only. This is the place to say "I think this guy is stealing, but I don't know from whom" and to request help in figuring out who the [i]real[/i] original artist is.

If you already know who the original artist is, great! But this is [b]not[/b] the place to point a finger at the thief and tell us to ban their stinking hide, we delete topics for stuff like that.

Instead, do this:

[*][color=blue]OR[/color], [url=http://forums.fanart-central.net/privmsg.php?mode=post][u]Send a PM[/u][/url] to an FAC site admin (such as myself, "Stratadrake").[/list:o]
And remember, before we can take any action on your abuse report, you [b]must[/b] give us the following information:
[list=1][*]The name of the FAC user who is stealing art, or a URL to one of their submissions, AND:
[*]A URL to the [b]original[/b] artwork, by the [b]original[/b] artist on the [b]original[/b] website. We need to know [i]exactly[/i] where we can find the original artist, otherwise we won't be able to do anything, and you'll only end up wasting your time.[/list:o]
