Smileys?

I was thinking that people who are interested(IF they're reasonably good also) wanted to make more smileys for the forums. I don't know what it's like to run the forums, so I don't know how busy it can get, but I thought it would be cool to have FAC artists create art like that and add a little more variety to the smiley collection. Yeah members can try if they wish, whether staff will accept it is a another thing entirely. I'm sure stratatack will take interest in this thread.

I think that's a wonderful idea. I don't know how it would turn out, but it's good, nonetheless.

I like that too, I would probably attempt to make one (Actually, I already did) but I doubt that they would be used.

I would try, but I don't think I'll be any good.

It would be cool for us to make our own personalized list of smilies we could use, much like LiveJournal, which you can select a list of themed smilies to use, or create your own list.

I think I could dish out some good ones, if it weren't for the fact that I can't see half of the smileys on the view more list, I dunno if they've already been made

But, a smileys feature would be cool, there may be some stupid people willing to exaggerate it (i.e.: make a 800 x 600 size smiley . . . . )

I think size restrictions would have to be inforced, as well as the content of the smileys, because some people's smileys would probably have sexual or violent content.

Yeah, but at least with my pixel fun I kept to FAC's smiley format (I ctrl-c'ed them into paint and changed the expressions)

Sexual content would have to be avoided, and no doubt people would attempt to rip smileys off of other websites and claim them as their own.
Still, I'm all for having the members submit their smileys to be judged as to whether or not they could become official FAC emoticons.
