Dance

P.E

One of my favourite lessons, usually involving some form of dodgeball in the latter stages of the two hour session. This half-term we eagerly assemble in the "temporary" gym. In strolls our teacher, with a woman. She isn't wearing anything vaguely active, and she is clutching a cd player.

We're all confused as suddenly our teacher states "Welcome to dance!"

Dance!? A sport?!

I have never sonsidered it a sport, more a leisure activity, especially with our dance teacher (The woman clutching the cd player) is determined to living rubber bands, able to hold our legs straight in the air from a flat sitting position.

Do you consider it a sport? Discuss.

Depends on which. Some can sometimes wipe you out as much as sports Smile

I think dance could be considered a sport. You need to be really fit and flexy to be a dancer. Like Miya said it can realy wipe you out. What kind of dance are you doing? Ballet? I demand pictures.

No, its weird steps. I'd send pictures but we're not allowed cameras in school, and even if I took them on my phone, it'd just get confiscated. No photos. Cool

Dance is a sport! Hip hop, jazz, ballet, modern, salsa, etc.! They work your heart and your muscles. I know because when I go to my dance classes, I get tired and my heart is beating faster and I'm sweating at the end.

Matt, could you explain what kind of steps you're doing?

Steps...Ok...Take one step forwards, take another step forwards with your other foot. Repeat twice. Kick left (Note to self: Always kick left first <_<)) then take two steps right, kick right, bring leg across to left ankle, pull on right leg and spin.

The we do that at super speed and get hurt. :/

That's messed up dancing.

Dance is a real sport when it takes technique and muscle to do it. [i]That[/i] right there, my friend, was worse than the chicken dance. Wink

omg dancing is the kewlest sport a girl thinks dancing is good and slaves dance and girls who dance r slaves in there hearts!!!!!!!!!!
