Should I try and stay up or just go to bed?

This weekend my family and I are going to an annual reunion. I'm 15, my sister is 7. It's usually pretty fun, and one of the cute/neat parts about it is a tradition that we do: every year, we eat dinner around 4:30, play games, etc. for a bit afterwards, and then at 7:00 the kids put on new pjs and are sent to bed while the adults stay up and have a small party. Last year, I overheard that one of my cousins, 12 at the time, would be staying up with the adults because I felt like he was too old to go to sleep with the other kids, so I felt somewhat embarrased that I was still sleeping along with the other kids. I talked to my parents yesterday and asked if I could do the same, but they thought I should go to bed with the kids because they thought it would go better with the tradition and plus it wouldn't be fair to my younger sister... They said that they had already bought my pjs for me and didn't want it all to go to waste. I understand what they're saying, so I'm kind of on the fence. Staying up wouldn't make me feel like a little kid, but on the other hand I've always liked the tradition and my heart is telling me to do it. Should I enjoy it and go to bed?
