Okay. I had LimeWire a while back, and I un-installed it. Turns out, I changed my mind and wanted it back. I successfully installed LimeWire back, but when I tried to download Java again, it started downloading, and halfway through the installation, it said it could not open the installation package. Each and every time I try to install Java, I get the same message.
I could really use some help, and I would highly appreciate it if you help me. Thanks. |

Sounds like your download got interrupted and the incomplete download is cached.
Try clearing your browser cache.
Or, assuming you are getting it from Java.com, try getting it from here
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
Choose "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1"
Choose OFFLINE install (jre-6u1-windows-i586-p.exe) |

I think it DID get interrupted. Maybe you're right.
Anywho, I don't know what a cache is, but I'll try to re-install it. I will put up screenshots if it fails again. |
