Not funny, guys.

As with all chain letters, if you receive a comment such as the following...

Then simply delete it. You may also inform the sender that spreading chain letters is not allowed.

But, for the curious:

1 - It is [b]not[/b] FAC policy to remove or prune user accounts based on inactivity.
2 - Even if we were going to prune inactive accounts, there would be a forum or main site announcement regarding it, and you certainly would not have to do something stupid like chain letters. It's a tricky business figuring out who has received and/or sent a given chain letter, we would certainly not use something as unreliable as this in determining any important issue.
4 - Our server keeps pretty good track of which accounts are active and which are not, this is not something we would even have to ask other users about in the first place.
5 - See point #1.

I thought that was fishy who started it?

i got it from someone else

but i have no idea who originated it so don't go blaming us we were duped

so i never said it was funny it said and it was from you

and i hate posers

and how are we suposed to know if you did not intend to change some policies

cuse of the site upgrade?

point is you should not blame without proof and why should we get in trouble for someone elses prank when we did not start the stupid chain

it's not right

and if this place makes unfair judgments then that would not be right as well

all i'm saying is are we gonna get in trouble for someone elses prank

when we are just dupes?

I've tracked the comments as far as I can -- except for being able to view deleted comments, FAC staff have barely any more ability to research this than any normal (non-staff) member. I know you received the message from at least two different users, but I do have a 'lead suspect' in mind.

Those who know me can attest that it wasn't even close to my writing style. For example, you should know I never dot my I's....

But no, only the original sender needs any real dealing with. Sending chain letters is rarely more than an annoyance.

There is also the possibility that some one saw the idea and went with it to be a smart ass, and may actually have nothing to do with the original person who posted it on the forum.
