I do hope we get smilies in the main site when sending comments. It will be much more fun with smilies in comments.
Aaannnnd, wouldn't it be nice if the forum has the "reputation/karma" feature? |

I don't think we realy need the reputation feature, do we _________________ RPG-n. I'm still not understanding the purpose to this 'Karma' feature.
Explain. _________________ Time to Benk your kitchen. |

It's your "reputation" on the forum/site. You get it when you help around. |

User rep systems provides a way of rating users based on the quality of their posts. Users can give rep points to other users by clicking a link in their posts. Rep point levels allow the users to determine which users are quality and which users are not.
When you give rep points to someone, the amount of points you give to their point total depends on how many points you have. Your point total gets bigger when you reach a certain amount of days being registered or a certain number of posts or what the hell ever. The reputation is usually displayed in the form of icons in posts.
As for a real purpose I don't know. I don't even know if PhpBB supports a rep system. _________________ RPG-n. And just for the record, I don't like the Idea of smileys for use in comments on the main site, the one word comments are bad enough as it is, I don't want single smilie comments. _________________ RPG-n. I second that. It already pisses me off to hell when people come on to my profile and say hello when I don't even know them. _________________ Time to Benk your kitchen. |

This describes Karma. I don't think it would work on FAC tho because the number of comments per picture/profile are too low to be effective in that form. Plus most of FAC is too immature to use it effectively.

The ability to attach a smiley to a comment could be useful . . . but it might get confused with the voting options. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

Then maybe voting icons can be changed. I've always liked the rating icon+text that websites use for some things. Like IMDB.com 12% since last week. A little more professional if not mechanic. Maybe we can work out something from that? Because I always thought smiley's with posts was the standard before FAC. _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |

Yes, that sounds soooo much better.
Speaking of which, will we every be able to see our ratings? |

The ability to see total # votes on a piece has already been suggested, but needs implementation. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

I think being able to add emoticons will make it much easier and more fun to show your emotions in comments. |
