Should FAC allow submissions which use material made by another artists, when the other artist has given clear permission to do so?
Yes, as long as the user has clear permission, nothing else matters

Yes, but only certain types of fair-use, others are too lazy and should not be allowed

No, it's too much trouble, but existing fair-use submissions can stay

No, and existing fair-use submissions should be purged to avoid any future troubles

See the corresponding topic in Announcements, and think it over very carefully before voting; this is not an easy issue to decide and has several layers:

- Art made from copyrighted material (such as screenshots or videogame sprites) will never be allowed.
- Art made using copyrighted 'kits' (such as Gaia avvies, South Park renders) will never be allowed.
- Any submissions using base material must state and link the original owner and materials used, to be verified, otherwise they will be refused -- FAC staff do not have the resources to investigate this ourselves.

And what about:
- Artist-made 'kits', where the result is a "cut & paste" of material made by the artist?
- Lineart (traditional or digital sketches) provided specifically for other artists to rework and recolor?
- Pixelart 'bases', provided for other artists to decorate?
- Collaborative works, a single piece jointly composed by two or more artsts?

It is worth noting that so far, artists using pixelart bases have generally gone to greater length to cite the source artist/material used, than artists who submit recolors or collabs.
