honestly people, this is a serious question that i already know the answer to. its a blank staring tie between guns and roses and the sex pistols... becuase i cant decide.

"Best" is relative. You can't just say someone or a group of people are the 'best' of anything so vast as 'music' in general.

How the hell can you pick a single band as the "best." Maybe "best" for a style/region/time period but not best of all time period.

What if I said Rajaton was the best band ever? You'd disagree and say "No they're not, ---- is!" and then I'd say "You're close-minded for picking such a mainstream band and style!" and then you'd say "NO U".

no, just tell who your favorite band is and thats it. im not saying who is the one single best band ever, who do YOU think it is. im not the one whos being closed minded here.

Then ask the fucking question you wanted to ask. There's a difference between "Who's the best band ever?" and "Which band is your favourite?"

If you're asking FAVORITE, that's ok, but the title implied "best".

My favorite band is probably Rajaton. Their A Capella is amazing, and I have yet to hear an a capella band that can outsing them.
They're big in Europe, but since this genre isn't popular here, well...

your thinking to deep into it. its not that difficult. i just want to know who YOU THINK is the best band of all time period. and so far, even though ive already explained it, only one other person seems to comprehend that my question wasnt that hard to understand. if it IS that hard to understand, then my question is WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE BAND OF ALL TIME... PERIOD

You can't really do "best band of all time." Maybe "most influential band" would be better.
