This is a visual poem, no it doesn't rhyme but if you do have a good imagination then you should find it quite uh descriptive.
Simple Treasures: (25/02/07)
Sitting by one's self in one's own company,
can draw out the sad thoughts of loneliness.
But also can open one's eyes to the splendor of life,
for some things cannot be truly experienced to the fullest unless by one's self.
The soft sound of the wind blows by,
As it caresses my face my body fills with such warmth.
Such a calming feeling soothes my soul,
For that moment time stands still.
As the sunset's light spreads and shines,
It pierces the trees and the leaves become enveloped in an aura of light.
As the wind dances with the leaves the birds sing them a tune,
while the sky is used as a canvas as the sun paints the colours of spring upon them.
The flowers sway along as the wind dashes by,
as the evening dew sets on the roses.
It catches the light from the sun and if seen in just the right angle,
The rose will glimmer just like a star.
The sweet scents of the blooming flowers fill the air,
Some flowers in full bloom give such sweet mature scents,
While little shy flowers not ready to show their beautiful face to the world,
awaiting for that right moment to spring to life.
Such untainted beauty that eventually dies.
Saddens one's heart but if willing hearts desire,
Then with time and patience such beauty will flourish again.
And once more fill this lonely soul with wondrous images that bring such serenity. |
