Pokemon firered help

does anyone know how or where to find mew in firered??? I have a suspicion that it is hidden close to varmillion city when the S.S.ann is still in port but you have to have a friend trancefer someone with CUT to your game to keep the ship and surf to a nearbye area.... Does anyone know???

The only way to get Mew is through a special Nintendo-sponsored event, or trading someone who has a Mew.

That's a gamer's myth that's been around from the release of the original Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow. It's been proven nothing happens.

There's a certain glitch that can be exploited in the [b]original[/b] Red/Blue/Yellow versions to generate a genuine wild encounter with arbitrary pokémon, Mew included, but obviously that's G1, not G3.

There is also a legitimate wild Mew on an obscure island in Emerald version, but you need a special item to get there and that item's available only direct from Nintendo (or by hacking).

Hacking one's inventory is much less riskier than hacking one's own Pokémon.

There's a glitch in Pokemon Red and Blue, not sure about Yellow, where you can go to Cinnabar Island and get in an encounter with a "Pokemon" named Missingno. It's a glitch and it might mess your game up if you capture it.

We all know about the Missingno. glitch. The so-called "mew glitch" involves (1) acessing the menu just as you're about to step into sight of a Trainer, (2) Flying elsewhere and fighting a very specific trainer, then (3) returning to the first area prompts a battle sequence (the game misreads the previous trainer's team data as if it were wild pokemon data instead). If all steps are followed correctly (#2 being the most important), it can generate a legitimate encounter where the wild pokémon in question is a low-level Mew.

Missingno wont mess up anything, its safe.
The only thing that will mess it up is if you put it in the computer.(the one where you put pokemon)

It messed up my game too and I had to start a new one. I remember one of its attacks was Water Gun, though. And Sky Attack.

Sometimes it would appear as that Ghost from that Haunted Tower thing.

I think that there were other glitches where it took you to a glitched world or something.

Well, they say that if you catch Missingno, it will mess up your Hall of Fame in the computer. It messed mine up.

Have you ever been to Glitch City in the game?
