Hello all,
I am here to tell Ace Attorney fans to avoid this web site, no matter who tells you to go there. It is called Court Records, otherwise known as http://www.court-records.net/
They are contradictory. Their site owner states "Original characters have no place on our site" yet they are holding an original character contest. I submitted a fanfic series, to which didn't have a background for the main character, which was the reason it wasn't put up, then when I sent a fanfic by mistake which had her background for a contest, the fanfic series was still completely ignored.
They represent fake articles and hoax events: An article about a new Ace Attorney game has an unusually common English word in it, which generally will not happen in Japanese magazines. The graphics look like crap too that are supposed to be for the new game. Capcom is said to be tied to Famicon. Famicon is not a company, it is Nintendo's oldest system and let it rest in peace please!
A supposed concert happens with goodies, however the goodies with artwork and art look so bad compared to real Ace Attorney art that it doesn't look so good. A new character who is a girl with black hair is supposed to be our main character?! Wouldn't that just be a copy of Maya since the supposed character looks too much like her?!
The concert venue is too small for any normal concert. The creators, the real creators, one of whom I can only remember her first name, but it's Minae are never mentioned. Instead they try to act like four young people created it. Capcom does not say that this event or article is true, anywhere on its' web site.
Also, there are no known real Phoenix Wright playing cards. Giving away fake prizes is a shame to all legitimate contest makers everywhere. They also have inaccurate character information and had faulty walkthroughs.
Avoid this site at all costs, it is horrible.

Where am I supposed to hotlink my GS sprites from, if not Court Records? _________________ Go Yankees! |

LOL
That site looks like a simple fansite, since they look fairly unprofessional. To be frank, I wouldn't get any news from them... Other places like NeoGAF are better for information, since its users commonly post magazine scans/photos.
Buuuuut I do like them because of their media gallery and lol ripped sprites and stuff.
I feel I have to fix some minor misconceptions, though.

lol... no. Just... no. Japan, especially among its younger generation, has a fetish with English. They use it all the time, and the place it shows up in most would definitely have to be magazines.
Capcom does not say that this [concert] is true, anywhere on its' web site.
So... yeah, I can understand your disappointment at that contest thing, but try not to spread the hatin', okay? It's not very nice. :x
ETA: man, that contest looks spiffy. brb, winning myself a pack of gyakusai playing cards
ETA2:

I apologize then. I'm just a bit irritated, because they won't take my fanfic series even with a background history for the main girl character. I also don't like their contradictory statements. It's nice they had a concert, I wish I could have gone. I hope the playing cards are authentic, or are at least nice quality. I hope that's an older Maya Fey that's the new character, and not another "Apollo Justice" type character that's just going to make the series look bad.
Is it just me, or did anyone else notice Godot and Klavier's voices sound exactly the same except they changed the tone of Klavier's voice? Makes me so mad. That voice belongs to Godot and only Godot! |
