But of course you can resize them! It's easy! We added some resizing tutorials to the FAQ, if you have Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or even MS Paint you can resize drawings and pictures easily!
BTW, Denis added an auto-resize feature so pictures aren't strictly required to be under 600/650 pixels wide anymore. However you should still learn how to resize them yourself . . . it really isn't as hard as you think it is. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

OK to resize pictures in MSPaint:
First of all, you have to go to File>Open and open your picture! Duh. ^_^
Secondly, it's obviously too big, right? Click on Image>Stretch/Skew and you will see two numbers that both say 100. To make the image smaller, make the number smaller. For example, to make an image half-sized, put BOTH numbers to 50, then click OK! VOILA! Your image is reduced in size! Go to file>Save (or press ctrl+s if you're a keyboard shortcut freak) to save your changes! ^_^ Easy as pie! Although I'm not sure how easy pie can be to make; I've never made it myself!
Note: You want BOTH numbers to be the same when you resize it. Otherwise, say, if you chose the numbers 50 and 70, the image would be squished virtically.
A good thing to do it just PLAY WITH IT! It won't hurt anything, ^_^ Well, not if you don't save it, anyway.
Hope this helps |

Like Ashura says, have some fun and experiment with all the programs you have at your disposal. Play around with all of their menu options and functions to get a feel for what they do, which ones will be useful for your drawings, and so on.
Two things you should get a good feel for, in particular, are how to resize an image and how to crop out unneeded white space. I.e., if your drawing occupies only 1/4 of the entire sheet of paper, and you scanned the whole paper, then you select the drawing, use the "Crop" function, and voila! Image made smaller by eliminating blank space. And who knows, sometimes if you scan and crop an image carefully, you won't even need to resize it to fit. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA
