Suspected Tokyo Mew Mew Copies

Hello, FAC Forums. I was recently browsing a gallery, when I noticed some pictures looked stunningly familiar. I scoured a bit on image searches, and discovered many of them seem to copy official Tokyo Mew Mew art.
Here are two examples:

I have a few more of a similar caliber to show. The artist never cited a source for any of them.
My question: Is this permitted?

They just look copied, but not trace. Copying is lame, but it's not against the rules. If it was, half ths images on this site would be gone.

Here's my results of a tracing comparison:

It doesn't meet the technical definition of a trace-over, but falls under the more ambiguous category of a 'copy' based on a specific source.
