Continous Validation

i've been on this site since 2006 and i've never had any problem until about 4 days ago when i was trying to post a pic and there was a message saying that i could not post images because i hadn't validated my account yet. i thought that was weird since i had validated and posted pic before but i went ahead and validated again and went about my business as usual however the same thing happened the next nay and the day after that and it happened again today. is there anyway i can fix it so i don't have to wait for a validation e-mail every time i want to post a pic?

i just revalidated my email again yesterday

and now it says to do it again
today

that does not make nay sense what's up with this a bug?

If an email sent to you bounces your account is automatically invalidated.

You sure your mailbox isn't full or something?

I have noticed something weird is going on the last few days with Yahoo mail. I'm getting tonnes of DNS errors from them, but it's horribly inconsistant and everything else seems to work.

I suggest switching to another mail provider. Gmail seems to be pretty stable and reliable.

but why is is it only now effecting yahoo when it has not before this is recent

so you're saying every yahoo user on fac should switch over to gmail

Then why Haven't I had any issues with this. I understand the concept of inconsistancy, but if it's with Yahoo them selves it should effect all yahoo users on that intermittant basis.

on a side note i was trying to make a gmail

account and it would not let me so maybe i will hold of on it

until this is resolved

so maybe it is not what it appears to be if it does not affect all yahoo users

That is not necessarily true. Since large mail hosts like Yahoo! divide their traffic among multiple servers, in the event that only some of those servers are having problems, only certain users might be affected rather than everyone as a group

Yahoo has at least 7 front-end mail servers, tho all of them seem affected by this.

I contacted yahoo, but all I've gotten is an autoresponse and a useless stock response.

The mail queue seems to be slowly going down so the problem may be improving.
