Split Decision

I haven't played video games in a while, and I've decided to finally come back after a long break with a bargain bin GameCube game because I'm just that cheap. I've come to a split decision between two titles. Tales of Symphonia or Metroid Prime. At the moment, I've only got the cash for one and I'm not totally sure which one that should be. Two completely different genres and two completely different games - I'm aware. But on a whole scale - since I'm a part of both audiences the games cater to - I'm a little unsure on which game to lean towards to. Any suggestions?

RPG games suck.
Metroid Prime.
Its a really fun game.

I tried Tales of Symphonia when I had a GameCube, but found it utter rubbish. As I don't like first person shooters, Metroid Prime isn't for me, either. I'd go with the latter, though, as it's sci-fi based. I like sci-fi. Nice to see you posting again.

Symphonia, hands down. Prime was fun for a while, but not really worth finishing.

Or you could get Metroid Fusion instead
