Original artist?

I've seen this pic floating around in the furry community for at least two years now (and I'm sure the pic is older than that), but I can't find the original artist no matter how hard I try.
Someone submitted an inverted version of this pic and being that it's their only submission and how old the pic itself is, I was a little skeptical.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
