Hello folks! I'm doing a Research Project about Flash animation and traditional 2D animation and I'm hoping I can glean some information from people here. My question for my project is a little sketchy at the moment, but I'll work with it and come up with a solid topic. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated Smile

Here's my question: how do you feel that Adobe Flash has made animation easier nowadays than animation in, say, the past 20 years?

You don't need to answer all of the question if you're unable to. If you'd just like to say a few things about Adobe Flash, then that's just dandy.

Thank you in advance!
(To any Moderator... would I be shot if I were to post this in more than one forum? I would really love as many responses as I can get for this question.)

You can post a similar topic to this in General Art Discussion, maybe even Technique and Media.

Adobe has made 2D animation very easy, even children can have fun learning simple Flash. ActionScript takes time and patience to learn like any other coding language, but is only required with complex animations. Though, knowing AS gives you a whole other, large world of opportunity.

Adobe isn't the only one that has made animation easy. There are plenty of websites with tutorials that can help anyone accomplish just about anything they can dream up. There is no doubt that Adobe Flash is the top program available for flash animation. After using Macromedia for so long, and then turning over to Adobe, it's easy to see the difference in quality between the two.
