Pants are the wrong color. Contrary to popular belief the boy wore blue pajama bottoms and a white pajama top, Not a paired white pajama set.

What happened is Obata couldnot think of what to put near in clothing wise and in the end settled on pajamas and since Ohba wanted to "include a little L" in Near and Mello Near's clothing inadvertantly became a pajama version of L's white pullover shirt and blue jeans.

I was at a convention... I couldn't really just walk around in socks could I? The original plan was to find white bunny slippers..... but they don't seem to sell them anywhere.

No, but a pair of plain white canvas slipons or skate shoes would have been more accurate.

I couldn't find those either. I ended up wearing pail blue ones today... but they were wet the other day.
