I want to add pictures to my stories.

[color=blue]I wanted to put some pics in my stories, but the webmaster said only if they aren't ban-worthy. I need to know what kinds of pics are ban-worthy so I can avoid them.[/color]

If your pictures from your stories are full of super explicit nudity, gore/violence, swearing, etc., then that's definitely a ban-worthy cause. Just if there's stuff that will make other people very uncomfortable, or mentally scar small children's minds, that's the stuff that'll get banned/deleted.

Or if you mean pictures, as in photography, no photography is allowed on this site.

I'd rather make my own pics to use in my stories. Y'know, draw the scenes or the characters.[/color]

Are there even guide lines for stories? If people are allowed to post official art and screenshots in stories, I don't see why photography wouldn't be acceptable.

Actually, nobody on staff actually looks at stories so if you did something "against site policy" you could probably get away with it.

It's happened before, and we [b]have[/b] taken action against (i.e. deleted) stories that are used as dumping grounds for [img] tags. So yes, an official Stories & Written Works policy is necessary.

Generally true, yes. Unfortunately there are certain differences between visual and written submissions which aren't covered in the stated policy (which is intended for the former).
