Metal Gear Solid: Sons Of Liberty

Me and my brother had recently finished MGS Sons Of Liberty, and like every other MGS game, your basicly watching more cutscenes then accually playing the game itself (even though some of the cutscenes are awesome)
What im asking, is that, was the game really good with playing as Raiden?? (aka Jack)
I really was looking forawrd to being Snake and all his manly wacky-ness, but i found it acually really satisfying to play as someone else. (as lond as they have the card-board box, im set)

what about you?? was the character change a good thing, or a bad thing??

Another thing I read a while ago while was that the reason we got stuck as Raiden in MGS2 was so that we can see Snake from an outside perspective. It worked, actually. I think it was nice to see Snake do his thing and beat the shit out of the bad guys (unless you're playing on the harder modes, in which case he sucks tremendously and you're on your own). In MGS1 you're getting shot, hit, slashed, blown up, doused in ketchup all the time (until you get good at it anyway). Snake has this image of the perfect super soldier, and when he's in your hands he simply doesn't look like one. Not to mention MGS3, where he spends half the game getting his ass kicked by the Boss and/or a freakishly tall and terrifying yet somehow endearing electric crazy man.



I want to play as cyborg ninja Raiden in the updated MGS4. If that option is not available, I will be very sad.

Kojima is the ultimate troll. I remember when the game fisrt came out, and no one knew you were going to be playing as Raiden at all. The first time yuo swim into the Big Shell, and he takes his mask off, shit was nuts.
