Because of all the continuity problems this version of star trek is set in a different universe because eric bana decides to go back in time. Get used to it, star treks like that.
simon peggs in it, so that'll be cool. _________________ "Would you kindly?" |

It's finally coming to our local cinema! I'm gonna see it next Sunday, so that'll be interesting. Heh... I think people asked if they were gonna put it on, as when I asked at the end of May/beginning of July, someone behind the desk said it would be unlikely. It is a small cinema, don't forget as they do have other things going on. I'm just grateful they're showing it at all. _________________ The Force will be with you... always. |

Our local cinema never got Star Trek at all.
Which is a cryin' shame when you compare how they got Transformers 2 for a midnight launch. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

Oooh, I hate it when they do that, so I can sympathise with you. But... can't you go to another town in your county, or city? It does help enormously if you ask at the box office there. _________________ The Force will be with you... always. |

The reboot is a different thing than the originals, but it's still amusing. And I get the alternate timeline deal for the first one. I still find the Benedict Cumberbatch casting for Khan a mite confusing, though - he has the voice for it, and he can sell "tortured genius" quite well, but - Khan Noonien Singh is a super-pale British dude... That seems kinda off still? Kahn was a piece of the timeline who'd been born, fought, and been put in cryo far before this timeline's point of departure. But then, the original series has a Khan Singh being played by a Mexican dude, so maybe I should stop nitpicking. |
