"Recent Pictures" Problem

I was wondering if there is a problem with the Recent Pictures Box on the home page that contains the thumbnails of the recent pictures that are submitted. I noticed that when I submit work its not showcased in there like it used to be.

When I click in the recent pictures button my work would be on there with several other peoples work. I figured it would eventually just update itself and work down the line but in some cases it skips mine and a couple other peoples work.

Is there something in our work that makes ours not showcased?

In an effort of increasing the quality of what gets displayed on the main site, the resent imagery section, has had some simple filtering using favs, votes and/or comments wile still displaying them in order of newest submission applied.

So yeah there is a slight delay before some works hit the front page, this is intentional, to reduce the over running of the recent box with half hearted imagery like we where seeing.

Obviously it is not a perfect system, but we're open to suggestions on how to better feature better submissions by our userbase.

Not a problem, The site has grown since you joined and we have a lot of lack luster work comming in. The entire concept was put into place to aid in getting artists like your self a little more exposure with out alienating all the people who can't create an image be it through lazyness or inexperience.

...Which reminds me that the next site update includes a Scraps feature, Scraps being specifically for stuff the submitter knows to be lackluster work.

Problem is that the majority of the users don't know it's lackluster work Sad
