theres so much deadpool crap comin out now, i read the merc with a mouth number 1 and guess what? its not very good, its just writers trying to cash in on his recent popularity cause of the movie. This blatant whoring of deadpool is probably more insulting then baraka pool from origins. i say yea, he's already got his own on-going series and suicide kings and crossovers into other on-going comics. do we really need him teaming up with a zombified version of himself?

Well, see, he's better at doing whatever it is Wolverine does, and what Wolverine does is make tons and tons of (sometimes guest) appearances.

I guess i have to rethink my stance on this whole issue, because meat suit was awesome. Ridiculous but it makes me think that deadpool is so great he deserves all these other crappy books, but this appeared in deadpools solo series so maybe thats enough... I'm talking to you Victor Gischler!

considering wolverine is in bout EVERY book marvel does it nice to see a character that i think is underrated get some star time.
besides deadpool gots something woverine does not, a sense of humor. wolverine has the worst small man complex ever.

(but i admit the movie version was freakin stupid)

Deadpool 11 sold out, old news but relevant to this discussion. but i still think merc-with a mouth sucks and that it is not neccesary.http://www.deadpoolbugle.com/2009/07/deadpool-11-sells-out-and-gets-second.html

The "Merc with a Mouth" mini-series has been pretty poor, but the phrase "Marvel Zombies tie-in" told us that anyways.

As for the whoring of the character? I'm more concerned that Daniel Way's run on Deadpool is being used as the definitive guide for the character now. There's a certain method to his madness that seems to have been lost.

On the other hand, you just know the Deadpool/Hercules team up is gonna be fantastic.

I think at times daniel way does exemplify his method... I'm sorry I just remember'd issue 2.

Deadpool:What I'm saying is there's only one way to take down this planet's heroes: My Way. Using my method,"
Skrull:"And what method is that?"
Deadpool:"Madness."

I think daniel way simply doesn't do this all the time. frequently it's done so that your not quite sure if he has a plan at all. more often than not he looks like an idiot. even his three stooges persona implies that theres a part of him that knows what he's doing, like during the fight with bullseye.

I really like daniel way's writing, except pirate pool, the art was annoying.

Gender equality? i don't know but it does seem more and more common batwoman, superwoman, Iron maiden, no female captain america yet, this disproves the theory.

DC seems more guilty of this than Marvel, probably because DC is overly fond of sidekicks and kinda sorta sometimes actually having their characters age.

I think it's partly gender equality in that they're trying to introduce more female characters that aren't helpless damsels in distress, but they lack originality in thinking of new skills/powers. I'm guessing they also figure that if you like Batman and you like boobs, then you'll like Batman with boobs.

Stupid marvel universe, it always betrays me. I think the deadpool thing is more or less parodying this idea that all characters have female counterparts.

Yeah, it sucks.

Although the old Spider-Girl comics were neat.

Good lord, is that a female Quicksilver?

edit: It is good to see she's carrying on the tradition of having fantastically bad hair.
