Seen episodes of the anime up to episode 11, I think.

Just got Volume 1 of the manga today in the mall.

Any thoughts? Anyone like/hate this anime? I think it's pretty hardcore and badass.

this series is currantly airing on tv here. if i hadn't have seen it on tv, i probably would never have seen this great series. i've seen 10 episodes i think, its awsum! i love the contrast of the characters, especially that of the quite gental Rock, to the crazy, foul mouthed Revy. The fight scenes have me on the edge of the seat, and Revy just cracks me up with her humour. Also, the fight between rock and revy towards the begining was really intence. I love the story line, and can't wait to see more episodes =)

I just started this one last week, actually. I've only seen up to episode 4 (DVD Volume 1), and while it has yet to grab me as something to obsess over I do enjoy it and I believe I will be finishing it.

I've seen that it's only 12 episodes. Is that correct? And is the manga about the same length?

It's 2, 12 ep series.

I think if they made a live-action movie of this I think it would be awesome. Ving Rhames would be perfect for the role of Dutch.

This is actually the type of anime that would work well as a US live action movie or series.

But, no, instead they try to live action DBZ, and Evangelion.

Exactly my point. It being a Japanese manga/anime series, it really appeals to us American viewers because we understand it and it's not set in Japan.

They really should stop the DBZ movie and make this. Even people who haven't seen the anime will love it.

Ving Rhames would be great as Dutch but I don't know who will be good at Revy (Lucy Liu? Which is weird because both she and the character are of Chinese decent and both born in New York), Benny, or Rock. Any suggestions?
