Gallery problem and another issue...

ok, i noticed the new version's just been released, so i went to take a look around. when i got to my gallery, i noticed that all the pictures were out of order. is this just me, or is this happening to anyone else?

EDIT: nvm about the front page thing.

Unable to reproduce the problem on my end. Have you tried selecting a sort option from the filters and pressing "Filter"?

ACTUALLY, i just went back to my gallery again, and it was out of order again......

i know im not the only one with this problem, a few others had it....

Does hitting the "Filter" button fix it again (even if only temporarily) ?

Interesting, this sounds session related. I encountered a rather obscure error the other day and while I submitted a bit of a hack to silence it, looks like the actual source of it is still on the loose.

yeah, it fixes it, but when you leave and come back, the order's all wrong again. i had to change it to another random filter, then back to "recently posted" for it to fix itself.

Yeah, and locating exactly where is going to be painful....

Still better than the fatal_error() that the 3.1 branch was issuing when this happened (i.e: "Error: bool (true)" wtf?).

I've been unable to reproduce the problem on my gallery in general, but I do see it occuring on my Favorites page. And I'm also witnessing it on your gallery pages as well, particularly the higher page numbers which aren't browsed near as often.

EDIT: I think I've found it. The bug is specific to browsing pictures in user galleries, it does not affect other forms of browsing.

is it fix-able? it's annoying to have too look through a whole gallery to find one picture..........

Damn straight. You'd be surprised at just how much damage a typo or misnamed variable can do.

In this case, the function responsible for displaying user galleries had one measly parameter that wasn't being specified properly, which resulted in the default (and certain other) sort orders essentially becoming "in no particular order" instead of what they should've been doing.
