I don't buy ANY video games based off their movie counterparts because I know it'll suck. _________________ |

To be sure, many videogames based on films (or pretty much any licensed franchise) were developed on the cheap by second-rate teams working on a rushed budget in order to satisfy a deadline that was decided with respect to the licensed property, and not the game.
Remember E.T.? The infamous Atari 2600 game? Atari spent so much time negotiating just to get the permission to develop a game that its actual development time had to be crammed into five weeks in order to meet its shipping deadline. The programmer felt he did a good enough job relative to his deadline, but.... _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

Wasn't it full of bugs or glitches? I have a huge book on video game history and it mentions that E.T. game, I know what you are talking about. _________________ |

Solution?
Liscence games well. Take Jojo's Bizzare Adventure, for example. The 2d Fighter Capcom made is goddamn stunning, and incredibly well made. Why? Because they liscenced it to a company that was famous for doing a good job with fighters instead of the shittiest company on the market.
EDIT: Also, most movie games are made by Activision, EA, Ubisoft, or Take 2, which are all fucking jokes. _________________ |

You're talking publishers, it's the developers who are firsthand responsible for the game's quality of design. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

All of those have in house devs for disposable projects like these, little buddy. _________________ |

Hm, good point. If more companies spent more time seeking out notable developers to handle their licensed projects.... _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

I never played the third one. And I heard the third movie sucked.
Stopped playing/watching before the third came out. |

Only played two movie to games when I was younger: A bug's life.
It was alright but could have been better. The puzzels were good too however the graphics failed, should have been much better.
First harry potter game: Way too easy and graphics were blah.
All other movie to games need to stop, it's getting very annoying seeing all the damn Disney Pixar movie games popping up right and left. THEY ARE KILLING THE PS2!
And Beowulf looks like a sheer rip off of God of war when it comes to the 'slow mo' factor and the intense blood spill.
Also I dont find movie to games very fun because...you KNOW what is going to happen next so why bother playing? Not like you are going to get a surprise scene or anything. _________________ Our life is made by the death of others...

Quite the opposite, actually.
Shovelware is the only reason the PS2 is still alive. _________________ |

Yes but they are ruining the PS2's reputation and people are not taking it seriously anymore nowadays. -le sigh-
Everything is PS3 now. _________________ Our life is made by the death of others...

They're trying to get more people to buy it.
Should've stuck with Ps2 a bit longer, if ya ask me. |

Yeah, and it was still a good gaming platform. |
