If the lines were redone with some dark ink and some shading and bright colors was added, it would look really adorable! Despite the quality, I think the lineart is worth it. I like the style you used for her face. C; Reminds me of a bubbly art style in a manga I saw.
They made their noses like that too.
The one thing I want to see something change is the lack of hand expressions. The background is good as long as you don't color more brightly than the girl, because then she would lose focus. You can draw her left hand coming from the bottom doing a peace sign or something to take up space.
The picture almost looks like something a girlfriend would send to her boyfriend as a postcard from far away! Good luck! _________________ “Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checked by failure...than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.” ~Theodore Roosevelt |

Open up whatever image editing program you use (presumably whatever comes with your scanner works), and use your Flip Horizontal option.
This might open you up to a few of the more glaring issues. _________________ FAC |

I agree with luckylace mostly however IMO the shoulders are a tiny bit too broad. Other than that you are very good at backrounds. Much better than myself. xD
Keep up the good work hun and try to darken the lines like what lucky said. Cause on some moniters a pic like this will barely be visible unless the user squints to see it. Other than this it is an adorable piece of work. n_n _________________ Our life is made by the death of others...
