Editing Comments

I've wanted to make changes/add on information to comments on people's profiles, but if I wish to do so, I must either delete the post and do it over again or give another comment. Would it be possible to put an edit option on comments?

Ya know I like that idea. Then it decreases spamming a bit cause people sometimes reply to them selves JUST to fix the comment and comments like that aren't needed.

But I don't know how they would do that considering I haven't seen something like that anywhere yet. Only place I know where you can edit messages are skype but thats an instant messenger.

There I gave my two cents...my opinion lol

Comments have the 'Preview' option now. You could always like . . . preview your comment before you post it.

The ability to edit comments, though useful, can also become prone to abuse.

At the moment not even staff or mods are allowed to edit comments, but we do have the "Preview" function....

Speaking of the preview function; anyway to put that on the bbcode format in the stories?

Typo ninjas have a nasty habit of sneaking into my chapters and it annoys me greatly to keep going back and fixing the errors over and over again. xP

Tis the only way I can type my stories btw.

Not a bad idea, but stories are a little trickier than comments.

The comments preview actually calls the same function used to display [i]real[/i] comments (this makes sure there's no discrepancies between the preview and actual comments). It's easy enough to assemble preview data for a comment, but for a story....

My firefox tells me when a word is spelled wrong. Only thing it doesn't do is tell me my grammar sucks lol
