What is your typing speed(wpm)? This is technically just a survey for me to know what others typing speed is compared to mine.

Mine is 75 words per minute.

If you do not know your typing speed and want to do the same typing test as me, do *1 minute* for The Wonderful Wizard of Oz for the following link and tell me what you got!

http://www.typingtest.com/

Honestly, I learned to type fast because of all the random comments I had to make on FAC. @~@

Funny that we got the same result. ;/ My accuracy was like 85%. Terrible.

My brother got 84 wpm. Evil or Very Mad I will beat him one day.

That seems fun, too bad the java script on my iPod won't let me view the actual page I need. I'm fast at texting but typing, I barely use the computer. I get better with typing as the school year goes by.

HAH! Texting.

Watching people text behind teacher's backs is funny. They look like hunched monkeys. Just talk during breaks or afterschool. MY GOD.

85 (89 before adjustment). Normally I can get over 100, but I just switched keyboards a few days ago, and the key sizes are a little different from what I'm used to.

I don't think my typing speed has changed too much for the last.. 8 years or so. I learned to type quickly from instant messaging. :V

I can easily average 100 wpm. Back in typing class I could reach 120 on most drills, and on short sprints even 140.

My typing speed is rather mediocre.

72 wpm (370 chars in 1:00 min)
7 errors (Accuracy 90%)
65 after error deduction.

But I don't often type dictation or copying off paper, so being able to type faster than I can think of how to word things isn't very useful. I should be able to type much faster in short bursts if I am just typing what I want, not copying text.

London and Strata, you guys type at, like, God's speed. ;_; lol

Of course, from what I've researched, the highest typing speed was 212 wpm achieved by Mrs. Barbara Blackburn of Salem, Oregon using a Dvorak Simplified Keyboard (DSK) system. She could maintain a speed of 150 wpm for 50 min (37,500 key strokes). AAHH crazy fast stuff.
22 WPM.
Uh-huh.....
It's okay. Soon, you will be able to type at tremendously fast speeds while completely ignoring all grammatical and punctuation rules, lol. Very Happy

Its even more funny when they get their phones taken away. Which is why I don't understand why school just don't collect phones before school starts. Like I think it should be locked up in home room.

Then people will most likely throw tantrums and shout that teachers have no right to confiscate their belongings if they are "supposing" only going to use it afterschool.

My school finally said allowed students can use their cellphones in the morning before the bell rings and right after school on campus. Before, they were much more strict.

My World History teacher, who does not really wear the regular formal teacher wear, confiscated a girl's cellphone when she was texting in the hall, and she went to the principal saying that an unknown middle-aged Asian man(my world hist teacher was FAR from asian, lol) stole her phone and walked away with it, lol.
