I know that you're not supposed to go overboard with the sexual stuff with art, but does that apply for writing, too? I mean, I've been on DeviantArt and the same rule applies for them, none of that in art but they allow it in writing. So is it the same for it here?

Sorry for the long confusing post. xD
Rofl sonic you trip.

But i do think that uber smex scenes, like in the red are not allowed. I know this cause my friend tried to put that rating up in a story of hers, but they wouldnt let her put it up due to the rating factor. So I think sexual levels are the same as with the pictures.

Strata might explain the situation better or prove me wrong though. Just tossing in my 2 cents. xP

Yes, sexual conduct policy applies to writing as well. If your writing is going to have sexual conduct and/or behavior between characters it needs to be worded cleanly and appropriately.

Generally speaking, in pictures mature content refers to what and how something is depicted; in writing, it refers to what and how something is described.

Thus, explicit descriptions of sexual conduct (whether relying on exact anatomy references of a slew of euphemisms) are inappropriate. Basically, explicit written sexual content means anything that the viewer can read and immediately tell "they're doing WHAT?"

If it's that important for two characters to sleep together, "tell, don't show" would be the better option. A simple description of "making love" is still some form of sexual content, but not explicit.
